Improvement in the Notifications module

Checkbox behavior has been optimized for a better user experience.

What changed?

From now on, checking a notification’s checkbox will only select it—it will no longer automatically open the pop-up modal.

How does this benefit you?

  • Greater control: Select one or multiple notifications to manage them (delete, mark as read, etc.) without unwanted pop-ups interrupting your workflow.

  • Smoother navigation: The full detail modal will only open when you click directly on the notification itself.

  • Optimized experience: Prevents accidental opens so you can organize your notifications faster and more efficiently.

Android Offline mode fixed

Previously, when trying to open pre-downloaded content without an active internet connection, the app would experience long load times and display an error message, preventing access.

What can you do now?

  • 100% Offline Access: Open and work with all previously downloaded Learning Objects (LOs) on Android devices, without relying on Wi-Fi or mobile data.

  • Instant Loading: Your content will now open smoothly and instantly.

How to get this update?

Simply make sure to close the Studio PWA completely and reopen it to receive the latest update automatically.

Font standardization

What is it about?

To strengthen visual consistency, improve accessibility, and optimize overall system performance, we have implemented a comprehensive typography standardization across all platform sections and components.

What changed?

  • Visual Consistency: A unified font family has been applied across all modules, buttons, menus, and text content.

  • Enhanced Readability: We adjusted font weights, sizes, and line heights to optimize readability on any screen resolution or device type.

Dynamic adaptation based on active theme

We have improved tool visibility when the Class Materials option is disabled in your current theme.

What’s changing?

When Class Materials is not enabled in the selected theme, the interface will automatically simplify to show you only what you need:

  • Cleaner Dashboard: The Class Assignments module will automatically be hidden from the main Dashboard to avoid confusion.

  • Optimized Filters: In the Tasks / Assignments section, the Class option will no longer appear in the filter dropdown, showing only the assignment types available for your course.

Key Benefits

  • Distraction-Free Interface: View only the sections and tools relevant to your course.

  • Faster Navigation: Find your tasks more quickly without unnecessary filters.

Greater precision for today’s due dates

Manage your time more efficiently and avoid last-minute submissions.

What changed?

From now on, when an assignment is due on the current day, you will no longer see the generic <0 days left> label. Instead, the platform will display the exact due time (for example: Today at 11:59 PM or the exact remaining time countdown).

Why is this great?

  • Total clarity: Know exactly how much time you have left before the activity closes.

  • Better organization: Prioritize your daily tasks with precise deadlines and no confusion.

Real-time updates when managing your content

Interface behavior when interacting with Learning Objects (LOs) has been fixed, ensuring that all changes are reflected immediately without needing to refresh the page.

What was fixed?

Previously, actions such as adding/removing a resource from favorites or locking/unlocking content (individually or by CEFR level) required a manual browser refresh to display the updated status.

Why is this great?

  • Instant Response: Whenever you favorite content or change a resource's lock status, the screen updates instantly.

  • No Manual Refreshes: Say goodbye to manually reloading the page.

  • Smoother Management: Organize your library and assignments seamlessly with zero interruptions or downtime.

Creating assignments is now simpler and more straightforward.

The Quick Assignment functionality within the Class Library has been restored and optimized.

What was fixed?

Previously, when clicking the + button next to a file or resource in the library, the Assignment option was not available in the actions menu. As a result, teachers had to complete additional steps to share content with their students.

How does this improvement benefit you?

  • One-click assignments: You can now create assignments directly from the selected file or resource in your library.
  • Streamlined workflow: Spend less time preparing lessons and navigating through multiple menus.
  • Greater efficiency: Simply select the material you need, click +  Assignment, and share it instantly with your class.

Self-Registration Flow

The Self-Registration Flow for new students has been fixed, ensuring they follow the correct sequence from the very first step.

What was fixed?

Previously, when users clicked Register as Student, the system skipped directly to Step 2 instead of starting at Step 1, bypassing the initial screen where students enter their Access Code or Token.

How does it work now?

  • Correct starting point: When beginning the registration process, the platform now prompts students to enter their Access Code or Token first.
  • Guided registration: Once the code has been validated, students can seamlessly continue through the remaining account creation steps.
  • Faster onboarding: Fewer errors when joining a class or activating a new book.

Thailand Time Zone Support

Support for Thailand Time Zones has been officially added to the platform.

What was fixed?

Previously, when registering or configuring a new institution in Thailand (Main Menu  New Institution), Thailand's local time zones were not available in the Time Zone drop-down list.

Why is this great?

  • Accurate configuration: Schools and institutions in Thailand can now easily select their local time zone during setup.
  • Reliable scheduling: Assignment due dates, assessments, announcements, and other time-based activities will now be accurately synchronized with the institution's local time, preventing scheduling discrepancies.

Role-Based Level Assignment Optimization

The Level field has been updated to prevent inconsistencies in administrator and teacher profiles, ensuring that level selection is reserved exclusively for the Student role.

What has changed?

From now on, both in the CMS and the Configuration Interface (UX), the Level field will automatically adapt based on the type of user being created or edited:

  • Student profile: The Level field remains visible and enabled, allowing the appropriate academic level to be selected.
  • Other roles (Teachers, Administrators, etc.): When any role other than Student is selected, the system automatically sets the Level field to Adult.

What are the benefits?

  • Fewer data entry errors: Prevents academic levels from being accidentally assigned to teachers or administrators.
  • Faster user creation: Non-student accounts are configured automatically without requiring additional steps.
  • Improved data consistency: Ensures standardized and consistent user profiles across your institution's database.

eBook Hotspot Interactive Activities Fully Available

Interactive Hotspot activities within Studio Preschool eBooks are now fully functional.

What was fixed?

Previously, when users clicked an interactive hotspot within a Studio Preschool eBook, the activity failed to launch and the system incorrectly redirected them to the Home page, preventing access to the learning content.

How does it work now?

  • Optimized viewing: Clicking an eBook Hotspot now opens the corresponding interactive activity instantly in a separate window.
  • Seamless navigation: No more unexpected redirects to the Home page—the transition between the eBook and its activities is smooth and uninterrupted.
  • Consistent user experience: Delivers the same reliable and intuitive experience available across the other platform levels.

Clearer resource names display

The Resources module in the Preschool platform has been updated to ensure that descriptive category names (nodes) are always displayed clearly and consistently.

What was fixed?

Previously, when a node had an assigned image, its descriptive name was hidden and only the image was displayed, making it more difficult to quickly identify the content.

What will you notice?

  • Enhanced visual clarity: The node name is now displayed alongside its corresponding image, making it easier to identify content without relying solely on visual cues.
  • More intuitive navigation: Quickly locate videos, units, folders, and other resources with improved organization and readability.
  • Accessible and consistent design: The visual structure is now consistent across all Preschool Resources sections, providing a more user-friendly experience.

Additional Resources Layout Optimization

The layout of the Additional Resources section has been refined by optimizing the spacing between buttons.

What was fixed?

Previously, excessive padding and indentation between buttons created unnecessary blank space, especially when the screen size was adjusted.

What will you notice?

  • More compact and responsive layout: Buttons are now aligned proportionally, making better use of the available screen space.
  • Improved responsiveness: The list adapts smoothly to both desktop monitors and smaller screens without excessive spacing.
  • Cleaner visual experience: Browse your additional resources through a cleaner, more organized, and intuitive interface.

Improved PDF file opening

The PDF viewer within the Additional Resources section has been updated to provide a better viewing experience across different screen sizes.

What was fixed?

Previously, when opening a PDF file from Additional Resources, the viewer and workspace did not properly adapt to the screen size, making documents more difficult to read and requiring unnecessary scrolling.

What are the benefits?

  • Automatic fit: PDF files now fit seamlessly within the workspace as soon as they are opened.
  • Improved readability: Enjoy a clear, clean viewing experience optimized for your screen resolution and device.
  • Smooth navigation: Access your supporting materials without layout issues or disproportionate margins.

Complete welcome interface

The Preschool welcome screen has been restored and updated to display all key interface elements correctly.

What was fixed?

Previously, several visual elements were missing or incorrectly positioned on the Preschool welcome screen, including:

  • The Richmond Studio logo.
  • The user's avatar.
  • The Sign Out button, which was not displayed in the correct location.

What has changed?

  • Complete visual identity: The Richmond Studio logo is once again displayed as soon as you access the platform.
  • Visible user profile: Your personalized avatar is now shown, making it easy to confirm that you are signed in to the correct account.
  • Clearer navigation: The Sign Out button is now positioned in the upper-right corner, providing quick and convenient access whenever you need to leave the platform.

Clearer and more focused content menu

The display of activity scores has been removed from the Content Menu to provide a cleaner and more focused learning experience.

What was changed?

Previously, the score earned for each completed activity was displayed directly beneath the activity in the Content Menu.

Activity scores are now displayed exclusively in the Markbook, where grades and progress are managed.

What are the benefits?

  • Cleaner content menu: Stay focused on completing activities with a simplified interface free of unnecessary visual elements.
  • Centralized grading: View your grades, progress, and scores in one place through the Markbook.
